Tewksbury Memorial H. S. Parent Advisory Council : A $6000.00 Trivia Success

The sold-out, Tewksbury Country Club was the scene for the second annual TeamworkTrivia fundraiser for Tewksbury Memorial HS Parent Advisory Council, on April 9th, 2009. The event’s bottom line was about $6000.00.

The lively 330 players enjoyed a “fun night out” with lots of food, drink and trivia competition. Three tables entered the last round tied for first place. 12 tables were within 10 points, at that moment. The first place table and second place table got a substantial cash prize. Twenty raffle winners got an extra gift, too.

Six different Tewksbury schools were represented in the audience by securing entire tables.

It seemed that everyone was looking forward to next year’s 2010 edition! Early notice (contact me) sheets were collected to alert parents when tickets go on sale.

“Dress Code”, new feature for your table

For Teamwork Trivia Nights:
“Dress Code” is in effect!

Simply, if all your TABLE MEMBERS, dress up “themselves” or their “table” with any kind of costume or decoration. The table begins the game with 10 bonus points – since most games are decided by less than 5 points, this is a big advantage. Of course, this makes the night’s atmosphere more fun, too!
Popular themes like: School colors, Mardi Gras, 4th of July, beach bum – Jimmy Buffett, St.Pat’s, Halloween, etc…

Pine Grove School in Rowley MA Raises $ 4500 In Fundraising Trivia Night

Rowley Public Education Fund (RPEF) held a literacy fundraiser called “Teamwork Trivia with DJ Mr. Ed” at the Rowley VFW on November 8th 2008. It was a big success! Sold out – 180 people!

A whopping $ 4500.00 was raised!

All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase new book sets for the Pine Grove School Guided-Reading Program as well as books for classroom libraries.

We want to thank all of the Pine Grove School parents, teachers and administrators that participated in this fun-filled evening of competition among many, really smart trivia gurus!
D.J. Mr. Ed, did a fabulous job keeping everyone busy “thinking” (and dancing, between rounds) all night! Lots of delicious food was brought in by each team. Many wonderful silent auction items and raffle prizes were donated by local businesses. Extra money was made by local businesses generously sponsoring trivia rounds!
